Höglandets Revisionsbyrå selects Senseworks Audit

Höglandets Revisionsbyrå chose to replace its previous audit program with Senseworks Audit. Leif Göransson, Chartered Accountant atHöglandet, talks about why they chose Senseworks, how they have increased job satisfaction and efficiency at work and what their customers appreciate about Senseworks.

What was your biggest frustration with your previous auditing program before you started working with Senseworks Audit?

We felt that we made a lot of “clicks” and that it had to be possible to make things easier in data retrieval and to be able to analyze data faster. We lacked good multi-user support and felt that current programs were “old-fashioned” in general. We wanted something more than a pure documentation tool, rather a system to help us make high quality audits and keep the red thread in our audit processes.

Can you describe what it looked like in practice?

A lot of administration was put into splitting files that we would work together on. Our analysis tool was not integrated into the audit program - we had to work in many different places at the same time, which created an uncertainty in the documentation.

What prompted you to start looking at other solutions — and what made you choose Senseworks Audit ?

We wanted to find a modern tool that was “more fun” and would give us practical support in maintaining high quality audit work. Senseworks made a good impression from the start and wanted to achieve the same goal as us.

Did you evaluate other programs as well? What made Senseworks Audit stand out?

We looked at other programs as well, but Senseworks had a clearer vision what it wanted to achieve with its software and methodology. We also felt that Senseworks listened to us and our needs in a good way.

How did you experience the onboarding? Was there anything that went faster or smoother than you expected?

The onboarding has gone well! As soon as we have had questions, we have received quick feedback via Teams. The program itself is easy to get into and start working with, so it has been very easy to get started. We want a culture that encourages curiosity and testing and we feel that Senseworks Audit supports that.

What was crucial in getting you started so quickly?

The main factor is the good support from Sensworks, which quickly helped us get started and gave us great input in several meetings. If you spend a little time in the program and learn how it is structured compared to legacy programs, it is relatively quick to get into it.

What concrete differences do you notice today?

At present, it is especially easier to make analyses and it is possible to quickly create an overview of the assignment and note discrepancies. It will be easier to communicate within the audit team what has been done in the assignment. Going forward, we also anticipate time gains when we can use saved samples for analyses that can be reused in the specific assignment. Not least, it's more fun to do an audit!

How has the team reacted?

Above all, the team finds it fun with a tool that is technologically advanced and visually appealing to work with. Because we are in a start-up phase, we haven't fully noticed all the efficiencies yet, but that's mainly because the program is in development during spring and we haven't brought our existing data over yet. But we definitely see the potential in making efficiencies going forward.

Have you noticed any impact on customer relations or the business at large?

Not yet to any great extent, it's still a little too early in the process. In some assignments, we have sat together and analyzed the data together with the customer who has experienced it as an added value to be able to use Senseworks Audit to gain insights into their own business.

How do you think this will help you in recruiting and building an attractive workplace?

We have a clear vision for our business to be an attractive employer. Offering a modern tool from a supplier that aligns with our needs supports that goal.
